A few days ago at the movies, before entering, a sign on the door caught my eye. In bold and underlined lettering it said that there were no public restrooms available. I took this to mean that there were no restrooms available for guests at all. I told the two others I was with. I had to use the restroom before the movie, so I walked about a block away to the place where the sign said public restrooms were available. When I got back, the rest of our party said that there were, in fact, restrooms available for paying customers. I returned to the front door and it was clearly written on the same sheet of paper above the segment that said that there were no public restrooms available. Someone who prides himself in reading past the headline and seeking to understand the whole story didn’t bother to read what came before the bold text. That was embarrassing.
